The Da Vinci Code Extended Cut 2 Disc Bluray Boxset

The Da Vinci Code Extended Cut 2 Disc Bluray BoxsetThe 2006 smash hit The Da Vinci Code gets released on Bluray on May 11, 2009. The film, based on the best-selling novel of the same name is about Robert Langdon, a man brought in to help with a murder in a Paris Gallery; the Louvre.

The Da Vinci Code

As Langdon begins to investigate the murder mystery, the 'mystery' of Jesus Christ, protected by a secret society for 2000 years comes under threat...

The book of the same name

If it wasn't for the book, the movie starring Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, Ian McKellen, Paul Bettany, Jean Reno, Etienne Chicot, Alfred Molina, Clive Carter and Seth Gabe would have been brilliant. However, as the book itself was such a smash hit, the Blu-Ray, even with it's stunning HD picture and 5.1 TrueHD audio will have users on the edge of their seat 'til the very end.

However, as the book was so amazing and nothing in the film is new to readers (who would be most of the people watching the film!), the film is just a recreation of the novel.

The Da Vinci Code Bluray

The 3 hour movie, originally released in 2006 is subtitled in Danish ; English ; English for the hearing impaired ; Finnish ; Hindi ; Norwegian and Swedish. However, with the TrueHD Blu-Ray audio, you don't need subtitles - you can feel the bass from a mile off.

It's a good movie, no doubt, but Ron Howard is a director, not an author - and unfortunately, the author wins. We give it 4 out of 5 stars.
