The Warriort Bluray Review
The premise of the film is simple – a rather dysfunctional Irish-American family with two brothers take on the world of professional fighting. The film is emotional packed and surrounds itself with father Paddy Conlon and his two sons, ex-Marine Tommy and physics teacher Brendan. Furthermore, rather quickly you learn of Paddy’s alcohol addiction and his wife died several years previously. However, all three main characters have their hidden demons.
The film is in places rather predictable with both brothers signing up to the same martial arts tournament which means they will eventually have to fight one another. However, the fight scenes, without trying to spoil it, are fantastic and will keep you in your chair.
To make the movie experience even better the 1080p encoded blu-ray provides a rather eye-pleasing HD film which provides the film with much clarity. Furthermore, and more interestingly, the film comes with three different audio set ups intended to make the highest quality audio experience available to the viewer. The three options are - English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, English 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and English 2.0 Dolby Digital. Of course if you’re after the ultimate film experience the latter two options would be favoured in order to provide you with an all round audio experience. This is especially true considering the sound mixing here is really state of the art.
To keep it short all that has to be said is that this Blu-ray looks and sounds fantastic and is highly recommended.
