American Teen DVD review
American Teen is a documentary about the experiences of 5 real Indiana high-school teenagers, out on 29 June 2009. Although it has intense moments and real heartbreak, it's nothing more than a pseudo-Channel 4 special.
As you'd expect in high-school - it's all about popularity; and breaking up is the worst thing in the world. Viewers follow the senior year of high school through the eyes of Prom Queen Megan; Heartthrob Mitch; Jock Colin; Rebel Hannah and Geek Jake.
Revealing American Teens
As revealing as it is, you'll empathise and identify with 1 of the 5 characters. However, the drama isn't anything of significance past high school, and it becomes more of a point and laugh affair at times. Not suprisingly, American Teen won the Directing Award at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. Not suprisingly, it won nothing else. We give this 1 out of 5 stars, O..M..G!| More Entertainment News, Reviews & Gossip |
