Crank Back

Crank

CrankGive your sleepy Xmas holiday an adrenalin injection as Universal Pictures UK announces the release of the year’s most action packed film, CRANK, available to own and rent on DVD and Download-To-Own from December 26th 2006.

Chev Chelios (Jason Statham – Transporter) is about to begin the day with an unexpected wake-up call as he lays, groggy and fully clothed on his bed in his Los Angeles apartment. Feeling like death, Chev panics. As his head and heart pounds he reaches for his ringing cell phone.

As a hitman for a major West Coast crime syndicate, Chev has enemies, and it’s one of these, in the form of LA thug Ricky Verona (Jose Cantillo), that informs him that the time bomb inside him is ticking…

Chev is being punished and paying the ultimate price for wanting to escape his violent lifestyle. On his last job, as opposed to putting a bullet in the head of his victim, he lets him off with a warning and it’s his unhappy employers that have poisoned Chev in his sleep. This poison cocktail now flowing through Chev’s veins will shut down his heart and ultimately give him just one hour to live.

Now, the only way Chev can prolong his life is to keep moving. As the poison pumps through his body, the only thing Chev can do to stop it reaching his heart is to keep his adrenalin pumping, and he will do whatever he can to keep alive while he hunts for the antidote and revenge.
