Doomsday DVD

Doomsday stars the impeccibly groomed Rhona Mitra and shapes up to be one of the better action packed British Sci-Fi/Thrillers from acclaimed director Neil Marshall, who also directed Dog Soldiers and The Descent.

Doomsday is set in 2033. A nice start especially when Rhona takes her prosthetic eye out... nice! aA deadly plague, known as the ‘Reaper Virus,’ brakes out in Scotland in 2003, killing hundreds of thousands in its 30 year epic destruction.

In order to control it, the British Government brutally quarantines the affected area as it surrenders to public fear and social chaos.

Now, in 2003 - a crack team of operatives is led by the sexy, feisty Major Eden Sinclair (Rhona Mitra) and they're sent into the hot zone, where survivors are believed to be - in search of a cure.

However, as always, it's never that simple and they come across a crazy gang of rebels led by a very convincing nutter...!

The film features the Major in a hot outfit, in a hot Bentley GT being chased for about 10 minutes in the pounding sun. A very sexy look by all accounts. Joking aside, this film has you on the edge of your seat with several unsuspected twists to ensure that the Major's job is far from straightforward.

This is a very enjoyable, British film that gets a whopping 4/5 from us!
