Frontiers on DVD
Normally to watch a horror film you don't need a quick history lesson in European history, but Frontiers is a special case.
This has caused a great host of negative commentary but end of the day does the horror film have the two key ingredients, violence and blood. The quick answer is yes, so who cares. A benefit to the film is it basic but gripping plot, some would say a plot similar to that of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Hostel.
The film is set in France, and you guessed it - it has subtitles. This means 2 things: firstly, you need to be able to read. Secondly, you need to be able to read English.
Basically, what happens is a gang of scallywags flee (gay) Paris during a political election which turns sour. They flee with a bit of cash, but sadly, they end up in the neo-Nazi equivalent of Travelodge.
Oh, shit
So what do you do when the equivalent of Adolf Hitler is resting in the room next to you, apart from shit yourself? Well, its torture, blood and guts galore. Frontier(s) is a brilliant film, but not for the squeamish.I can tell you one thing, I don't want to visit France.
