Hush 2009 DVD review
Hush, released on July 20, 2009 is a small budget British film. Although the initial acting seems like a stageplay more than a movie, there's nothing small about the suspense that'll have you hooked from the moment the van appears...
Hush stars William Ash, Christine Bottomley, Andreas Wisniewski, Claire Keelan, Stuart McQuarrie, Robbie Gee and Peter Wyatt. Directed by Mark Tonderai, Hush is an 87 minute suspense-thriller following a couple on the motorway. It doesn't sound much, but when they see a woman trapped in the back of a conspicuous white van, the couple realise there's something more than meets the eye.
Hush - I'm having an affair
The couple are somewhat irritated with each other, and you can't help compare the film to something Hitchcock would've been impressed with. Hush has plenty of twists and turns to keep you behind your cushions and makes you question what you'd do in the same situation. The pressure keeps building right to the end. If anything, the end will have you clapping... or crying, depending on what you'd do in the situation.
Hush is quite simply a brilliant small budget film and you'll be left at the end wondering how they could've done any better with a bigger budget. We give this 3.5 out of 5.
