Mad Men Season 1 Back

Mad Men Season 1

Mad Men Season 1What is there to say about Mad Men that hasn't already been said? The show lives up to the legendary status of all the other mob/mafia related films. Yet this is different, it isn't a film, it's a series. A series that contains all 13 episodes from the first season, the show that is beyond brilliant in every single way - acting, directing, writing, music and even set design.

But there is a let down, the packaging. Yes it may be unique, and when I first heard about it i was ecstatic. It is better in theory and better in pictures then it is in the flesh. Sure it looks neat the cigarette-lighter shaped DVD case. There are two problems though, firstly the DVDs could have been more yellow than red, to simulate the flame. Secondly, the biggest problem is the fact the DVDs have no real protection so the heavy handed people will have to be really careful when closing the lid so that you don't hit or even god forbid scratch the DVDs.

The audio is nice and crisp and there is also closed-captioning available. Also for the DVD collectors & extra fanatics the DVD contains an entire host of extras & features.
