Mummy 1932 DVD Review
The Mummy 1932, is a bit before my time, but as most of us know it was re-created in 1999. It was not just re-created but it was also the inspiration for The Mummy Returns, The Scorpion King and the upcoming cinema release of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
Considering that the 1999 release was the one I watched before a lot of the punch of watching the original was taken out but that didn't mean I wasn't impressed.
Seeing that back then they didn't have computer effects and other hi-tech equipment the film still isn't that bad. It isn't exactly a masterpiece but it does offer plenty to love and keep you interested.
The picture is quite clear and crisp but that is entirely due to it being digitally remastered - I guess the original looked a bit s***. When I said quite I mean quite as in that there are still some rough parts to the film but what do you expect from a film created prior World War II.
