Teen Wolf Season 1 DVD Review
Let’s put aside all the vampire, teen, wolf, weirdly appealing to school girls and try to review this DVD without totally putting it to bed.
Teen Wolf the series starts with a young, high school student Scott McCall, who is bitten by a werewolf one fateful night in the woods whilst looking for the body of a young girl. Scott does his best to keep his newfound senses and abilities secret from the normal world. However, he lets his best friend, Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) in on his secret.
As the series progresses Scott finds himself in the sights of the girl but also winds up in the crosshairs of a group of shapeshifter hunters and simultaneously being hunted by another werewolf (Tyler Hoechlin), who may or may not be responsible for a series of brutal murders in the surrounding area. Essentially, the show is the lycanthrope equivalent of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (something the producers of the show publicly admitted to drawing inspiration from), and contains a lot of the same humor. The series is closer to Buffy the Vampire Slayer than it is to the soppy, crappy Twilight series, and it also contains much of the humour of the former series.
To conclude, if you're a werewolf lover, you've probably already seen and become a fan of Teen Wolf.
