The Queen Back

The Queen

The QueenThe Queen, now - where to start. Helen won an Oscar and everyone went wild. So what's it all about...

Synopsis
When news of the death of Princess Diana on 30th Aug 1997, one of the most famous women in the world, breaks into the media - Queen Elizabeth II retreats behind the walls of Balmoral Castle with her family.

Good ol' Liz is unable to comprehend the public response to the tragedy.

For Tony Blair, the popular and newly elected Prime Minister (oh how times have changed), the people’s need for reassurance and support from their leaders is crucial.

As the unprecedented outpouring of emotion grows ever stronger, Blair must find a way to reconnect the Queen with the British public.

You wouldn't think its funny - but it is. Definitely worth a watch - not as good as Forest Gump though!
