Wild Bill DVD review
Bill Hayward is out on parole after spending 8 years in jail and is on his journey to find his 11 and 15 year old sons who were abandoned by their mother, whilst he was in prison, and were left to fend for themselves. However, Bill, unwilling to play Dad, is determined to move on.
Jimmy, the oldest of the two brothers, has found himself a job and is doing his best to be a father to his younger brother but unfortunately for the pair child care seems to be looming.
Dean, the younger of the two brothers, forces his father to stay under threat of telling the authorities about his drug dealing and Bill certainly does not want to go back to prison. Interestingly enough, Bill quickly bonds with the pair as he himself never quite had a childhood. However, this small bubble of perfection bursts quickly when Bill gets back into trouble with his dangerous old gang. Yet to sort it out would mean breaching the terms of his license and could potentially see him end back up in prison. The film rests on whether Bill decides to be a good father or a free man.
