David Jordan - Sun Goes Down
Fast-rising star David Jordan will release his new single Sun Goes Down, on Mercury on February 4th. The single is taken from the debut album Set The Mood, recently released by this London born-and-bred 21 year old, who has been amassing legions of fans since a clutch of ecstatically received dates at London’s Water Rats Theatre in October.
The song that first compelled ZTT co-founder Jill Sinclair to sign him, and her husband, Trevor Horn, to jump in to produce the album, Sun Goes Down is the first “regular” single from David Jordan.
His previous release, Place In My Heart, was made available as a free download exclusively through The Sun newspaper, whose Victoria Newton was an early champion.
Since The Sun’s ground-breaking campaign for Place In My Heart, David Jordan has found himself many more supporters: from Radio 1’s Jo Whiley, who booked him for her Little Noise Sessions at London’s Union Chapel last month; from Enrique Iglesias and his legions of fans, who David wowed during support dates on his arena tour in November; and the millions of viewers who witnessed David’s Sun Goes Down TV debut with a spectacular performance on The Royal Variety Show. There can’t be many artists to have gone from their first live show to meeting the Queen in such a short space of time, but it’s testament to David Jordan’s talent as a singer, songwriter and effervescent live performer that this is where he finds himself now.
