University students will get their exam results and be able to see their marked exam papers online from this year in many universities.
This move follows similar procedures put into place for A-level and GCSE exam boards. Exam boards such as Edexcel will introduce a scheme this year for a minority of A-level students and GCSE math subject candidates.
The students will all be able to get maths results online. The students taking GCSEs students will be uniquely allowed to view their marked GCSE papers, with the scores for each question.
This has been allowed thanks to online marking systems. Students checking their exam results online will receive an individual username and password and will access their results through a secure internet site to prevent others from seeing their results. This will allow students to access a secure website and view their results when released. Many universities have already implemented such a system. Imperial College London is one of these universities.
Students in the Computing department of Imperial College receive their results in early July.
Imperial College is the number one institution in Europe for Computing.
