Students in England and Wales will be receiving their GCSE results on 14 August 2008, with A-Level results announced on Thursday 21st August.
16 and 18 year olds across the country will be biting their nails, hoping to get onto their apprenticeships, A-Level courses, diplomas or university.
The numbers applying to university has dropped this year - many citing tuition fees, top up fees, increasing student debt and accommodation costs as a reason why not to go to university; especially in expensive locations such as London, Birmingham and Glasgow.
Students who don't receive the results they were looking for at GCSE level can always retake; where A-Level students can go through clearing. For more information on clearing, see our University Guides section.
Those interested in student finance, student accounts, student tuition fees and more should see Student-Finance.co.uk.
