Student guide to eating healthily
This can be were most students fail on their eating healthy. It’s a lot easier to buy a burger and some chips at lunchtime rather than prepare food in the morning and take it to college with you.
However by doing the later you can save money as well as improve your diet dramatically. The average burger and chips in a canteen will set you back between £2.50 and £4.00 where as you can make yourself a sandwich for less than half the price of that.
Also the nutritional value of a burger is minimal, the meat in the burger is likely to be relatively low in protein and high in testicles, you get some carbohydrates from the bun and chips but also a hell of a lot of fat. The sandwich on the other hand contains whatever you want it to.
You can use fresh chicken, tuna, eggs or whatever you feel like to make up the protein, some nice brown bread for carbohydrates and as much salad as you can fit in there, just don’t go overboard on the dressings or mayonnaise etc and if testicles are what you buy the burgers for then I’m sure you can work something out.
Most sandwiches, which you find in canteens, put far too much butter, mayonnaise and dressings on and you end up with a very high calorie lunch.
