TV Licence and Students
You’ll obviously be aware that if you’re renting a flat or a house then you will be required to obtain a TV licence if you want to watch TV, even if you’re watching TV on a computer.
What you also need to be aware of is that if you intend to watch TV in your room in halls of residence then you will need to obtain a TV licence, the TV licence for the common room or bar held by the halls of residence does not cover the individual bedrooms.
This is the same for any private halls of residence.
