Do universities have links with banks?
You will find that most universities will have a branch of a high street bank on campus, Natwest has the greatest number of branches on university campuses in the UK.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that the university is directly affiliated with the branch and the branch will usually be a sub branch of a bigger branch.
What it does mean is the bank is renting space off the university and it will have staff well trained in dealing with student accounts and student money problems.
Opening an account with a campus branch is convenient whilst you’re still a student.
