 Lakeside is definitely worth the money but students should ask to live with final year students or with postgrades thus in blocks E-N Choose your groups carefully.

Sometimes people do not work at all which drags down your marks. Having had a good level of english before I did not encounter difficulties although I had to get used to the strong Birmingham dialect (Brummie) that was sometimes spoken outside university.

Just make sure you are one of the first to book an appointment to open a sterling (pound) account because otherwise you will have to wait ages.

Enjoy the nightlife, try to travel as much as possible especially at the beginning (Scotland, Wales, Irland) and discover the nice places in B'ham and around.

Do bare in mind that a first (A) is quite hard to achieve wheras the span of a 2:1 (B) is large and relatively easy to achieve.
