Bolton university review

Sam G
star rating

Bolton could not be better placed, with excellent motorway and rail links. To the north is the Lake District, with the West Pennine Moors and the Yorkshire Dales in the north-east.

To the south is Manchester with its teeming nightlife and big city amenities, ditto Liverpool in the south-west. And don't forget the bright lights of Blackpool just an hour away.

Bolton combines its more traditional offerings with new facilities and attractions. There are enough shops, sights, clubs, pubs, theatres and music venues to keep anyone busy.

There are also several multi-screen cinema complexes within easy reach.

As it's not a big city, prices are reasonable and student customers are valued, so you can always count on plenty of freebies and a good few bargains.

Lower general living expenses are among the advantages Bolton has to offer its student population, and with cheaper fun to be had, that makes a pretty attractive combination
