 Although Bradford has a terrible football team (me being a Leeds supporter and all), the city is quite a groovy place in terms of clubbing, drinking and pubbing.

The locals are nice enough, I suppose, if you don't come from Leeds (big rivalry you see), but they area generally well-disposed towards students, even though they think we're a bunch of scrounging so and sos.

The best thing about Bradford is the curries. Nowhere, except possible in Balti Avenue in Birmingham, can you find better cooking of England's national dishes.

The food is cheap and really good, and since most of them are open until the early hours, you can drink yourself silly on Cobra or Kingfisher, and throw poppadums (is that how you spell it?) around at a leisurely pace.
