You cannot physically have more fun than in Bristol. The Bristol University student's union is OK, a few bars in it and cheap alcohol, but very few people go there really. The best bit about Bristol is the variety and the nightlife. Without a shadow of doubt, the best place to go boozing is down Whiteladies Road. Every 5 meters there is a pub and club, and although the drink can be somewhat expensive, the quality of refreshments is excellent, and the quality of good looking ladies and gents (including my good self) is second to none. Whiteladies is excellent for many reason, but the main one has to be that it is downhill. A real bonus if you live around the bottom, which most students in town tend to. But it's not the only place to go drinking; Park Street is excellent for late night drinking and is situated at the bottom of Whiteladies, so not too far to stumble. And there you'll also find top restaurants and bars. The best place to drink on Park Street, in my, and many others', humble opinion is the fantastic Brasserie Pierre, with late night drinking and melt-in-your-mouth cocktails and a piano to boot. |
