Not what you think (unless you already know the place!) Trendy doesn't even come close - this place is wicked. If you've got money to burn then nip down to George Square and The Italian Centre for upmarket fashions. Have a look at all the art galleries and museums, of which there are loads, because they're all free - in 1999 we became the UK "City Of Architecture and Design" and the whole place is within such a small area that walking is a viable option. It is said that people come from as far away as Iceland for a good night out though not sure if I'd find that a good recommendation in itself but take it from me Glasgow is up for it; after shopping drop into the plethora of bars, cafes, pubs and clubs. Too many places to name but must mention The Tunnel for clubbing, coz I love the place, and Nairns for posh nosh to impress the ladies at 27.50 for a three-courser coz I got a free meal for tipping you all off! Clearly a man (we think - despite the name) after our own hearts; name-dropping for free meals. |
