Relive your teen angst with the DVD release of cult 90’s teen drama My So-Called Life – available to own from 14th May 2007, courtesy of Universal Playback.
One of the most acclaimed series on TV during its brief run from 1994-1995, My So-Called Life pioneered the modern teen drama and made a star out of 15-year-old Claire Danes. Also featuring Jared Leto, the plot centres around the trials and tribulations of high schooler Angela Chase, and the surrounding people in her life: from school friends to extended family.
Produced by thirtysomething creators Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick My So-Called Life tackles every teen issue imaginable (including the then-controversial topic of teen homosexuality). Through it all, Golden Globe winner and Emmy nominee (both for My So-Called Life) Danes plays a neurotic, touching, and funny character – whether obsessing over a blemish or negotiating the rocky terrain of first love.
