You can now enter the Twilight Zone and experience Rod Serling’s Lost Classics – on DVD for the first time in the UK on 28th July 2008.The Twilight Zone, the groundbreaking creation of screenwriter Rod Serling, gained instant legendary status in the 1950s and its popularity and influence endures worldwide to this day. In 1994, Serling’s widow Carol discovered an unfilmed screenplay, entitled Where the Dead Are; along with another short story entitled The Theater, the ‘lost’ work was subsequently adapted for TV by Richard Matheson. A celebrated science-fiction author in his own right - perhaps best known for the novel I Am Legend, on which the 2007 blockbuster starring Wil Smith was based - Matheson worked closely with Serling on the original series. The Twilight Zone – The Lost Classics comprises both Where the Dead Are and The Theater, stylish adaptations that remain faithful to Serling’s original vision: a thought-provoking blend of disconcerting mystery interwoven with a powerful and timely moral allegory.
